The Spam Chronicles - Vol. 2

Yet another Korean national holiday is upon us - Lunar New Year. The holiday is this coming Sunday, Monday and Tuesday during which I will write about the history and significance of the lunar calender and new year but with the approaching holiday came the return to Emart last week of the gift boxes; gift boxes of asian pears, apples and of course Spam! It truly is the gift that keeps on giving the whole year through.

However, in this latest installment of The Spam Chronicles, you'll see the latest discovery I made while in the checkout line last week - the "To-Go" version of this beloved, versatile, compressed canned "meat". Spam as an impulse purchase, instead of gum....interesting. Maybe it's time we all give spam a shot, or at least stock a few cans in the pantry in the event of an emergency.

Asian Pear Gift Sets

If I were Korean and receiving a gift box of food for Lunar New Year, this is what I would want.
Mmmmm. Beef.
